Don't be naive, and don't be fooled by the #fakenews that says women are indecisive or don't know what they want. They know exactly what they want. That's how they consistently know what to tell men to keep them confused. One decade they tell us they want manly mustachioed men who can fight off a bear, but then they complain about men not being sensitive enough. Next decade they say they want a sensitive man who respects a woman's place in the work force, then complain that men are too feminized. On the one hand they say that they celebrate the "dad-bod," but then they complain that men don't take good enough care of themselves and why don't we all have fitness model ripped abs?

It's a constant campaign of misinformation, designed to keep us guessing and off balance. If you fall for the "poor little me, I can't hardly decide for myself, I don't know what I want because of my silly smaller lady-brain and my out of control hormones, and that's why it takes me 2hrs to get myself ready to go to the grocery store, blah, blah, blah," then you're a fool.

Never go shoe shopping with the wife. You can't help her in any way and will only end up fighting. Nothing good comes from this.

I'm 55 and have never once heard of a case where a husband and wife go shopping and both enjoy it. It amuses me when I see a young couple dating (and you know they are only dating if they are shopping together) pretend they enjoy it. Particularly the guys who feign interest in seeing his partner try on the 14th pair pants while expecting an honest response.

Those kind of "harmless men" deserve to be hated.

We had a case years ago when a female psychiatrist ran off with her psychopath patient who she was treating in prison once he was released. He returned to his life of robbing banks and ended going back to the slammer and her career and credibility was ruined. She still claimed he was just "misunderstood" and tried to stand behind her "professional opinion" rather admit that she had fallen for a loser..

I couldn't tell you how many times in my life I've seen women who on the surface seem to have their act together who then get charmed by a complete loser bad boy type. Maybe its some sort of a mothering instinct where these women think they can change the guy. Yeah, right. That just never happens. In the end they get dragged down.

Women are just hard to understand sometimes.

Maybe you are both correct, but neither of you are being sufficiently precise in this matter.

Women may not know what they want specifically at the moment, e.g., pair of shoes at store, which restaurant, which car, etc.

Women know what they want generally: control and power in the situation.

Or do you think that by themselves they could decide which shoes they want and the presence of a man gives them a feeling of power when they are indecisive in the event the man is patient and accommodating?

I've heard it said that that women have a desire to dominate and control their husbands, but if they succeed they will resent or hate their husband.

It isn't that we are attracted to assholes ( or money )...it is that we are NOT attracted to boring. You don't have to be mean to us or spend a lot of money on us. Just keep up amused, busy, entertained - be an interesting person.

Slight hijack here: If you get a chance, go check out some of Dr Peterson's content on Youtube. I ran across his stuff a couple of months and have been hooked. He's in the middle of a very interesting series of lectures titled "The Psychological Significance of the Biblical Stories".

You can also access his "Maps of Meaning" and "Personality and its Transformations" lectures from U of Toronto. As far as I'm concerned, this guy is THE national treasure of Canada. Heck, I so enjoy listening to him talk that I listened to an hour of his testimony in front of Canadian senate for bill C16.
