70.3 Worlds Pro Slots Acceptance
I have no idea if this is final but I think it's mostly accurate. Based on.... http://www.ironman.com/...ngs/70.3-pr-men.aspx, here is everyone that accepted a slot (I believe). It's possible that there are still people needing to officially accept those slots but I honestly don't know the time frame for that. A few key names missing....

It should be a great race. I'm excited to watch how everything unfolds. I'm sure all those guys have their own reasons for taking a pass. My guess is Frodeno, Potts and Hoffman are Kona focused. Beals and Sanders are going to ITU long course worlds. Maybe Crowie is done racing worlds? I think he only raced last year because it was in Australia. It's good to see some other guys breaking in and getting some experience in that kind of a field.

Thanks for the link to this thread! man, so Gomez and AB. wow.

I wonder if Keinle, Don and Thomas will show up. Kind of wish they'd focus solely on Kona if doing so provided an advantage...

I stated it elsewhere, but I'd love to have the male and female amateur races on Saturday so we can hang out on Sunday to watch the pros race.

I actually like Sam Appleton's chances. Given how well he has been riding and his course experience I really like his odds. I think the wildcard is just how well Kienle swims. If Kienle swims well and Sam and Sebi go together on bike I think Sam wins. If Alistair is allowed to dangle I think I have to give the edge to Ali

Thanks for sharing this. Excited to see Alistair compete against this field. Is there a pro women's list out yet?

Cheers,

Yeah...The race is too close to Kona...that explains the lack of interest
