A unrepentant and basically thoughtless hawk is presently commander-in-chief.

I'm not sure that he is truly a hawk. It'd be sort of comforting if he was. Because the most unsettling thing about Trump, to me, is I can put my finger no cohesive set of guiding principles on any issue. Like McCain is a hawk. I understand McCain, even if I don't agree with him.

I don't have a freaking clue about Trump Take Syria. He'll sway between isolationism (pull out entirely, not our problem), using unilateral military might (shoot down Assad's fighter jet and draw red lines over chemical weapons) to globalist diplomatic efforts (negotiate with Putin no ceasefires, etc). It seems to change day by day, without any guiding doctrine.

Same with health care, or almost any issue.

I think the only issue he shows at least some consistency on is immigration. Though even that he's walked back quite a bit.

Eight years of trump likely equals supreme court 7-2 for conservatives. So if you are truly on the left I'd worry about that.

I am worried about that but the Democrats offer no help on that.
