So I just unpacked my bike after arriving home from the airport. I already spotted that the bag (soft case Scicon Aerocomfort) was damaged & missing 2 wheels.
On opening the bag, the fork is still sitting straight, but the bars are at an angle of ~20 degrees. They appear to be intact but I'm wondering what sort of force it would've taken to knock a tightened stem off centre? The base bar is a carbon 3T model so should I be worried about potentially hidden damage?
I know that if I crashed my road bike with carbon bars I'd be replacing them pretty quick. Has anyone been in a similar situation? I'll be speaking to the airline in the morning so appreciate thoughts.
