So my wife and I are looking at buying some land and building near central ohio in a few years, so I am starting to plan/budget now to get us there.
I am leaning towards buying a steel frame kit home and having a builder do that for us and she is leaning towards going with a more traditional build.
I know steel will cost more in the end, but it will also be stronger, not rot out, and dont have to worry about termites or anything like that. Anything I am reading also shows that insurance tends to be less on a whole and construction can go faster.
I was wondering what, if any thoughts or experience anyone on this forum might have is.
A few requirements we have are 2,000 ft +, minimum 3 bed, 2 bath, both want a basement, love open floor plan (another reason I think steel is better here), would prefer a single level as well.
Thank you in advance
