TdF Sky Castelli skinsuit

So good, it gives you goosebumps (and 1st, 3rd, and 6th place)

Proof that while the bike is important, the brick on top of it is still the crucial aero element, and that suits count for a lot.

There's a new Roval disc wheel on that article as well, but I didn't feel like making another thread.

Grip tape on a saddle? Any of you guys rolling with that? Not sure I'll ever put down enough watts to need saddle grip.

I dont think you need to put down watts to need more grip. If anything it'll let you put down more watts.

Lots of tri pros (and AGs...myself included) use grip tape.

Well, 1st, 3rd, 6th *and* 9th. Almost 1/2 of Team Sky were in the top 10 of today's time trial. Skin suits? Sure.

Wow the new suit has very different fabrics and placements from the Body Paint 3.3. The BP has tested well on everyone I know, so it is surprising to see such a completely different design come out 6 months after their latest release.

And some people (or at least one person) are now saying the suit violates the rules:

Castelli shorts made me angry, they were worn after a dozen rides and by the wash ..

This suit is designed for speeds above 50kph under these speeds and the BP3.3 is suppose to be faster.

Tony Martin is famed for it though it doesn't always work for him: https://www.google.co.uk/...-unusual-injury/amp/

He now has another similar piece sewn into his skinsuit which increases the life span to about 3 rides! Wonder if he has tried Velcro?
