No, I honestly didn't see or know about a classified section.

Nor as a new user did you bother to read the "Things to Know about this Forum" which Slowman has permanently affixed towards the top. If you had, then you would have seen the rule about Classifieds.

I believe she is the coordinator for volunteers for both races in Lake placid. She was posting a link to HELP those users on here locate housing for the race...she wasn't selling anything.

That info should have been in her original post; and it should only have been posted once, not two separate identical threads. And it still has a tinge of commercialism to it, especially if any accommodations are also cross-listed on the IM/IM70.3 LP webpages. BTW, have any other WTC volunteer race coordinators come on to the ST tri forum to advertise lodging possibilities for their crew? Let Dan be the judge.

And really, does it make a difference at all what another volunteer director does? She's not advertising for her volunteers to stay anywhere.

I won't fall on my sword over this issue; it's not entirely black and white. Plus, we are beating a dead horse at this juncture.

technically, this should have gone in the NOTICES forum. however, it's okay that it's here if there's an acute need and this thread is helping solve the problem.
