Movie Review: Beatriz at Dinner

Saw it with the wife - would not have gone otherwise.

Not an awful movie, was never bored or restless, but the movie definitely requires some additional scenes to be a real movie. It's a classic and stereotyped dinner party clash of classes - where the two opposing representatives get to state their case. Where the movie fails is that it never takes a stand, never states a preference for one side or the other, no character learns anything, and I'm doubtful that anyone in audience was transformed. This is what you get when the main presented themes are stereotypical extremes and the supporting characters are empty shirts.

I see a lot of television ads and I rarely see ads for movies.

That was my tip off that it wouldn't be very good.
