After a long break, I'm starting to build my running fitness back up. I've been ramping up mileage from nothing to 20 miles/wk relatively quickly.

This past week I took a rest week by cutting my mileage in half, but I also did a "magic mile"esque fitness test on Wednesday to see what my mile time looked like.

After the run, a sporadic a muscle twitch (benign fasciculation) began just above my left knee.

Five days later, the twitch is still happening.

I'm guessing that means that I'm really not recovered at all. I'm not going back to building up mileage (at least not today), but how easy should I take things until this symptom is gone?

P.S. A massive heat wave this weekend probably didn't help things.
