CO2 Inflator Recomendation
After beating on GP TTs on purpose to test their reliability for a while now, I put on GP4000s onto my training wheels this morning, went out for a ride on a bike path with really good pavement, and almost immediately got a flat. Such is life. The culprit was a metal bottle cap wedged into an expansion joint that I didn't see while riding.

My CO2 inflator (just something random off of amazon, first time using it) got stuck on my valve and popped my tube. Upon further inspection, the O-ring inside the inflator is all jacked up. I'd like to avoid this experience in the future so I'm open to recommendations for a quality inflator.

Portland Design Works Shiny Object.

Price is right and it works great.

No matter what you choose, make sure you get one that has a control valve. There are some ultra-light inflators that start flowing as soon as the CO2 is screwed in place, with no control. Have seen several people vent a whole CO2 into the air because they did not have a good seal on the stem.

I like this. Does everything I want it to do.

Edit to add: the comments about compatibility are bollocks. It works with every threaded cartridge I ever tried.

Most of the inflators without a control, like the Microflate Nano, can be controlled.

When you screw on the cartridge, screw it on all the way it can. That will pierce the seal, but then the inflator will seal in the CO2.

Then you can slowly unscrew the cartridge, and the CO2 will start flowing. Screwing it back on, will stop the flow.

I have had great success with the Microflate.
