That's why we need to join the Paris accords. Their plain is going to reduce green house gasses by 3/10th's of a degree by the end of the century!

Well since business and population grew in the same time, your number can be misleading. How about this number, 300,000 cars off our roads (equalivent to gases reduced) that number sounds pretty good to me. Do that for the next 10 years and then vehicles will be almost nil inthegreenhouse equation.

Of course there are bigger fish to fry, but I like the clean air now as opposed to the poison I breathed as a kid here.

Uh, that 300,000 number is the emissions equivalent of our reduction. The amount of, and emissions from, cars increased in 2015.

And the traffic reduction and the roads that don't have to be repaired as much because there aren't as many cars tearing them up. And the people still alive and well because they didn't get injured/maimed by the cars...

WIN! And thank you Duffy for doing your part ;-)

Neither the article, nor the quote from Duffy above, state that there was a reduction in vehicles.

From the article:
"Emissions fell by a third of a percent in 2015, which regulators said was equivalent to removing 300,000 vehicles from state roads for a year."

Holy shit. The amount of cars and the amount of emissions from cars increased in 2015.

All of the reductions were achieved in the business/industrial sector. In fact, it is the lack of business and industry is the largest factor.

If they pass that health care bill you can count on fewer business operating in the state.

You are way too kind. He's a piece of shit. He is a classic politician in the worst ways. He would have made a great VP for Hillary but the dems already didn't want two women on the ticket.

According to slowman he's a conservative.

That's how he (slowman) convinces himself he's fair and open minded.

That is what happened in Ontar- I- OWE with electricity. Fifteen years ago we had an electricity shortage. The new gov't closed the coal generation and paid big subsidies to wind and solar. But we have lost so much industry that we now have excess electricity which we send to the states for cheap while we pay big dollars to keep the lights on.

We'll see. They're saying 15% payroll tax, which in the case of lower paid employees will result in a net savings for employers. Higher paid employees will obviously be more expensive.

I don't believe that 15% will cover it.

My prediction, which makes me sad, is that it passes and we have a decade of chaos while it is demonstrated that it's unsustainable then we go to a system that is, what? Who knows.

This really has the potential to completely collapse the state. I hope it never passes but the people who run this state are, uh, crazy.

On one hand I wouldn't mind it passes so people can see this socialism doesn't work. On the other hand we have enough Californians in Colorado already so it's probably better for everyone if it gets shut down.
