That title line is a bit mis-leading given that this "triathlon" and "5 hours of pain" is being shared amongst 3 people (and more than likely 6-7 hours)... A triathlon is easy when you aren't doing all 3 legs yourself.

Aside from that, great story about life's hardships.

So, the discussion of past Polish hardships did not cause you to reflect that perhaps most of us have had very, very easy lives, relatively speaking??? IMO, we all need to be reminded of that occasionally. I found the essay quite interesting.

His wife is doing the full race. I did find the article to be pretty interesting.
