Should bike fit be done with a power meter?

Sorry if this has been discussed but I didn't see it when I searched.

Just bought a new QR PR6 and getting a pro-fit soon. Is a power meter used when getting fit for a bike? Should it be? I've only gotten fit once, and power wasn't a factor. That was only about aero-ness and comfort.

Don't drown. Don't crash. Don't walk.

Nope. Some of us have never used a power meter.

When I got my fitting the fit bike had a powermeter built in.. Once I was in a position that was correct on paper we adjusted for comfort. The whole time we watched my power level and it dropped some as I got too low since my hip mobility wasn't as good as it should have been. The powermeter seemed to help.. I'm guessing a good fitter would have been able to diagnose that without it
