The accident was a few days ago and he passed away today. Regardless still a shame

The 2005 race at Laguna Seca when he got a perfect start and just rode away with it was art.

WOW:

SAME HOSPITAL, SAME DAY:

German Triathlon Pro Julia Viellehner, winner of Challenge Regensburg last year, lost her week-long fight for Life after being hit by a Semi on a training ride in the Mountains near Cesenatico.

What a bad day and tragic coincidence....

Footnote:
Viellehner's Father and Brother disappeared two years ago climbing Mount Cook in New Zealand. Their bodies were never found.
