For those who did Santa Rosa 70.3 today and had done the old Vineman 70.3, what are you thoughts on the new course?

I really enjoyed the new course. Swim was calm the bike course was fast and the run was cool. I like it better than the old course.
I enjoyed it too.
Still the run at Vineman was a classic - hard, hot, exposed. And Chalk hill was also a classic.
- Many of the roads were party closed to traffic (except for locals living on the road). Big plus
- Run was flatter and shady. Another plus.
- Logistics were better, particularly as T1 at Lake Sonoma is much bigger than Johnson's Beach
- Personally I like the wave start. Tends to result in bikers riding with others of comparable skill. Felt safer.
