I have noticed a ton of military helicopter fly overs over our house in the past month or two. I have heard this from a few othe friends in other areas. We do not usually get military fly overs other than during forest fires and floods.
I'm curious if other people are seeing increased military presence.
No, not a visible increased military presence here. We do have an increased surveillance presence though. City got some Homeland Security money a couple years ago and there are cameras proliferating everywhere, with a new/improved command center to help integrate the influx of content. I counted 17 visible cameras while standing on a subway platform the other day, and they're going up along the interstate and at traffic intersections as well.
