Anything out there like the Hokas of old?

For those of you who've run in the Bondi2, does any brand make anything even close to how soft they felt? I was a huge fan of the Bondi2, the v3 and v4 were OK but definitely not as soft. I tried the v5 today and WOW what a disappointment, they are nothing like the good old days. Most of my running is on concrete and my old knees can only take so much pounding, the Bondi2 was by far my favorite shoe for the long days.

I’m looking for a new 18+ mile long run day shoe with that super soft midsole that Hoka just doesn’t make anymore. I don’t care about weight, responsiveness, or feeling fast--I want soft and squishy. I’ve seen people recommend Skechers Ultra but the road seems to have been discontinued and apparently their trail ultras have moved to a “more durable and responsive” midsole (read: way less soft).

Any recommendations? Thanks!
