True. I'm just offering a way to close a potential plot hole.

What plot hole?

It's not my feeling that there is one , Just saying that is one explanation for how peter could be older than people think he is.

I'm not sure how old people think he is, but based on the movies, the events of Guardians and Guardians 2 take place 34 years after Ego visits his mom. He's born in '80, his mom dies and he's abducted in '88, and the movies take place 26 years later. That's all based on what the movies say explicitly, and what the director has said in interviews.

I'm beginning to think that we are much more fucked than I thought.

I will say that this is my favorite of the Marvel movies. I love the humor, character development and relationships.

When I think of Drax's character, I'm reminded of the Star Wars Rogue One droid K2SO. I wonder if Disney's writers didn't model K2SO after Drax.

Finally got to see this last night. Freaking awesome. I was rolling with laughter more than any comedy movie I have seen lately. Agreed with others here, Drax has got some great lines and is just an all out fun character. I have a new Marvel movie in my top 3.
Kind of agree about Peter's character getting a little annoying, too moody. Gonna miss Yondu.

I thought that was kind of a plot hole. The overall joke was funny. I get it. But Taser is the brand name of an earth company. Hard to imagine that earth corporate branding would extend to space like that.

Really. A racoon making fun of a guys name and calling him Taserface wasn't funny enough?

A lot of comic nerds I know gave it a "meh" review, which I can only assume was based off of some expectation they had with respect to what they already love about the characters.

Personally I found this to be one of THE most entertaining movies I'd seen in the last few years or so.

But you're ok with everything in the galaxy speaking English, and Quill making Earth references all the time that people seem to understand?

You gotta let that stuff go when you're watching a comic book movie, man.

I'm with you and dapper dan. Not unpleasant, but I left feeling, "meh." Would have been happy to wait to see it on video.
