AB's May 70.3 plans
Looks like AB likes Spain in May... He is in the startlists of 70.3Mallorca and 70.3 Barcelona (13 and 21May)
Is he getting away from ITU racing at a fast pace?

Edit: typo

He seems adamant in beating all of the best early, in Barcelona he will face Frodo and Nilsson. I think he will only race Leeds in the itu circuit.

Excellent! I'm racing AB twice this year!

I'm doing both Mallorca and Leeds.

On a more serious note, spain in May is very nice for Yorkshire people like AB and myself.

Well we still have to see, maybe he will not show up. St. George, Mallorca and BCN in a month looks like a lot to me, and being in the list doesn't mean he will necessarily race.

Maybe he wants to gain experience quickly at 70.3.

Looks like he only recently entered the two 70.3's in Spain, so he probably got an idea of his recovery from his GC race and decided it's not an issue.

For a top end ITU racer like him in his prime, I can't see 3 x 70.3's in a month being any problem at all.

Or maybe Joe Bonness told him to HTFU and get racing. ;-)

My bad, you are correct. Just read that in a Spanish tri news site. Crap.

Also does this mean he is skipping St. George? Why travel 8 time zones west and back when you can race the same guys essentially in your home time zone?

pretty sure he's already in Utah as he posted a quick video of 'desert 24ËšC' on instagram. Probably one of the Spain races over the other depending on how St. George goes? If he wins stg, maybe neither!

OK that is awesome that he will be in Utah this weekend! Thanks for the confirmation. This is going to be the highlight of my week, which is either saying that my week has largely sucked if following a pro triathlon via text and athlete tracker surpasses other aspects of my week, or I am enough of am endurance sports fan where I can get excited about this than things like NHL playoffs, Champion's League semifinals or NBA playoff. Come to think of it, between St. George and the Giro, my family might as well basically ignore me and stuff me in the basement with an internet connection and throw some food down there to keep me alive between all of that floundering around on the computrainer.

I'm wishing there was a video feed. WTC is missing out on an opportunity here IMO. Anyway hopefully Lionel's SO will be posting on periscope ( and others).
