If you get a chance to listen to the tower 26 podcast at all Gerry suggests using them for a warm up to stress proper elbow and hand position. Of course nothing beats or can replace the real thing but I think they are a good tool to have. I'll also bring them with me on trips etc

Have never used that German brand but the U.S. equivalent are known as StretchCordz and are available online at swimoutlet.com and various other swim stores. They def work and have been used for decades in the swimming world, since at least the early 80s. I've had a pair for about 14 yrs and use them mostly when I don't have access to a pool, and or just want a bit of extra upper body work. You can pretty much replicate your exact swim stroke and work the swim power muscles in precisely the right way. IMO they are the best dry-land workout you can do for swimming.
