Installation of a new trial saddle
Hello everyone!

I am very much a total beginner when it comes to bike maintenance and modification. I just purchased a specialized sitero saddle. Happily trying to install it on my Cannondale Roadbike, which I currently still use for triathlon, I ran into the problem that the saddle rails are so narrow that the screw for the clamps won't fit between them.

After some googling around I thought I might need one of these https://www.specialized.com/...ed-clamp-79mm/105105 but it only mentions certain seat posts and I don't think my Cannondale uses one of these.

I am aware that I sound completely clueless but as a matter of fact I am. Could anybody point me in the right direction?

Thank you so much in advance and best regards!

The parts you linked to are for using carbon railed saddles in a specialised seatpost, you might want to try and upload a picture of your seatpost setup

Normally you get to the bolts that tighten a saddle clamp from underneath so the saddle rails aren't in the way. Have you taken the original saddle off? If so is it possible you've re-assembled the clamp upside down?

Maybe a photo or a link to the model of road bike you've got might help.

yes...so it turns out that hint was exactly right. Since I did not look properly at first I didn't realize I had to tighten the screw from underneath. Problem solved. Thank you!
