Rotor Power App Released Today
As a Rotor 2Inpower PM user, I have been waiting for this app and really happy to see it released today:

http://rotorbike.com/app-rotor-power/

I'm looking forward to the ability to do post-ride analysis of power delivery and optimal positioning of my Q-rings. The desktop app allows me to do this while riding on the trainer, but I would prefer to see what's going on real-life in the field rather than working against the resistance imposed artificially by my trainer.

On a side note, even if the app and data are mumbo jumbo, so far I have been very impressed with the Rotor 2Inpower PM. While I won't claim to have conducted the type of advanced accuracy analysis that is expected in DCR's upcoming review (recently he said it would publish sometime in April), I have found no dropouts, weird cadence spikes, abnormal power values or anything like that. I have been doing a good amount of interval work in ERG mode on the NEO and find that my average power for these intervals (typically anywhere between 5-30 minutes) tracks within a watt or two of the power reported by the NEO (typically at wattages of 240-280W, so within one percentage point; more often than not, the reported output between the two is exactly the same down to the watt). The magnetic charge cord (like a Macbook) is beyond cool and makes keeping the PM charged almost a pleasure. I've had a number of PMs in the past - Powertap (including the Pilot Program unit), SRM, Quarq and Pioneer - and while most have been very very good to outstanding, this one so far is my favorite. In fairness, I also have a P2Max NG but I have not ridden it yet (it's on my CX/backup road bike). With the accuracy I (think I) am seeing with the 2Inpower though, it's hard for me to see how there could be any improvement. Finally, I have no sponsorship or other interest in the 2Inpower or any other PM, just sharing my thoughts on what I think is a very very good, perhaps under the radar, PM.

Have you used the app in "TORQUE 360" mode and then looked at the data post-ride? I can't seem to figure out how to do this. I saw that the app was running and capturing data just fine, but then I stuck my phone in my jersey pocket and so wasn't looking at the screen while I rode, thinking I would check out the data post-ride. I see what looks like the ride file under the "History" tab but then it doesn't seem like there is an option to open the file or access the data.... the only two options are "Delete" and "Cancel." Any help?

Yes, I experienced the same which makes the app pretty useless for post ride analysis...

Hey,

Rotor customer service provided following answer. I haven't checked it out yet on my phone but I assume it will work :-)

Good luck!
Sam

If you are using an Android phone (as per the screenshot you are sending), you need to extract it from a folder that has been created in your phone. This folder is called “ROTOR Power”.

This folder can be found in different places depending on the brand of the smartphone. As a general rule, you can get to it via settings à storage and USB à internal storage à others à ROTOR Power. As said, this depends on the brand, and some brands already have a kind of folder called “Explorer”, where you can go to “Storage” and look for the “ROTOR Power” folder. Once you’ve found that folder you’ll see all the rides you’ve saved till that moment (I’m attaching a screenshot for your reference). You can email or download your rides from there to your computer.

Not really related to your original post but can you / anyone tell me the difference between 2INPower and INPower?

Is 2INPower just the duel sided version?

I don't really know much about the original Inpower, since I am in the "single-sided PMs aren't really power meters but are instead power estimators" camp, but my understanding is that yes, being dual-sided is the primary difference.

Fair enough.

If I look at the website the 2INpower are compatible with just about any BB. Crucial for me as I have a road bike with ITA bottom bracket and a TT bike with a BB30.

In theory then, could I swap the 2INPower between the two bikes as long as I also changed the chainrings (one SRAM and one Campy) when I do so?
