How many bib numbers do you get (70.3)

I'm just getting ready for my first HIM and would be grateful if someone could tell me how many bib numbers you get at an Ironman branded 70.3?

I'm getting a NoPinz suit but don't know whether to get it with the number pocket or not, as it would only work if you get given 2 numbers...

Pretty sure you only get one that you have for the run then you get a bunch of stickers for the bike. You might be able to ask them for an extra but probably not... Dont think you would need the number pocket on the back.

You get one bib number put on your race belt. Only have to use it on the run. You will get bike tags. And there is body marking with a Felt pen.

I travel with a hole punching pliers so that I can line up the bib holes to my race belt.

Depends on the race, check the rules. If you have to wear a number on the bike (Oceanside) you'll get two

For races outside of the US you are usually required to wear a bib number on the bike and they usually give you two. Just providing this info in case you are racing elsewhere. I guess you might be because no Pinz is definitely a lot more popular in the UK than here...

"Depends" is the operative word. I've been to some 70.3s that gave you a 2nd as a crisp souvenir even if they only required it on the run. And I did IM South Africa this month where we got just one but had to wear it on both the bike and the run.

to further the "it depends" theme:
this is a "rule" in a state of flux. my experience over the past, say, three years, is that it's very race (director?) dependent, and subject to change from year to year. but not in a more restrictive way, so far. it's been from have to have it on bike and run, to have to have it on the run, only.

Ah ha! So not quite so straight forward after all... I'm a Brit living in Switzerland, and racing the 70.3 at Rapperswil-Jona in June. I've tried searching the race rules but there's no mention of bib numbers that I could see.

I guess I'll go with the pocket version and hope I get to use it!
