Rolling swim start at Santa Rosa?
So I just noticed that the swim waves chart for Santa Rosa 70.3 have been taken down from the website.
Any intel on if the director is switching to a rolling start?
I'm supposed to start way back in the waves(M45-49), but a rolling start works better for me. Swimming is the only thing I do remotely well in this endeavor.

Thanks!

It has been changed to a rolling start. For non Facebook confirmation, you can look at the recently updated swim course description in the course section on the race website.

The Race director did a facebook live chat the other day and went through a lot of the logistics of the race week - one of the big things was that the swim was changed to a rolling start. I'm actually quite happy about that for 2 reasons - 1, M30-34 was like 2nd to last to go, so yay for that, and 2, it makes my wife much more comfortable in dealing with packs of fast swimmers coming up from behind her and swimming into/around/over her. She's a very anxious swimmer so anything that makes the water easier to manage is good news to me.

I did a rolling start for IMLT 2013 and loved it.

IMLT 2013 was my first rolling start as well. Worked well, until I broke my shoulder in T1 and froze my ass off all day.
Good times.

Wow, you broke your shoulder and finished? You the man.

YES, that was by far the coldest race I have ever done. But the most proud that I finished it. Never peed so much on the bike in my life
