Montana anti-cycling part trois

A state senate bill proposes charging every out of state cyclist $25 to fund an anti-invasive Aquatic project. Senator Sales (previously in the news for calling cyclists "rude") is involved in this measure. A cyclist or triathlete would have to pay the tax before competing in the state. Every out of state college student would have to pay the tax.

Wow! Not only are does this require anyone from out of Montana to buy one of these stickers for their bicycle AND stick it on their bicycle...but it took out the part which required out of state boats to support the battle against invasive aquatic species!!! How is this logical...but I guess lobbying beats logic EVERY time!

Do they not realize this will hurt more than help raise tax revenue, or do they know that full well and it's just a dick move toward a culture they do not tolerate (cyclists)?

How much sales tax and hotel tax are they going to lose out on when people with bikes rebook their vacation to another state?

As an out of state student who goes to school in Bozeman, MT, I'm getting pretty sick of this guy. Also, he says he plans on introducing a new bill banning cyclists on roads with a shoulder of less than 3 feet. Quoted at saying "If cyclists want safety, we'll give them safety."

Transparently trolling "lefties." (Ignoring the fact that cyclists are far from politically uniform).
