I swam a 60 degree tri and 200m in, my fingers (on 1 hand?) splayed and were like a claw. I was relieved to read that others had reported the same weird thing!! Not sure what causes it (mechanism) in cold water....any ideas?

Yes, same happens to me although it takes a bit longer than 200m, but I have a two-digit fat percentage and is from the Nordics
No, just long-distance swimmimg in COLD water....??
