Why don't you explain your rant. It might fit into one of the other two threads on the same subject.

You really need to read the law, than familiarize yourself with the many laws that already protect privacy and other entities like the FTC that still have privacy rules over ISPs.

"In the world I see you are stalking elk through the damp canyon forests around the ruins of Rockefeller Center. You'll wear leather clothes that will last you the rest of your life. You'll climb the wrist-thick kudzu vines that wrap the Sears Towers. And when you look down, you'll see tiny figures pounding corn, laying stripes of venison on the empty car pool lane of some abandoned superhighway." T Durden

isn't this what we have today?

I suspect anyone with a concern will be willing to pay for private vpn connection to a secure server whose policy does not allow for selling information. Perhaps we should all be doing this anyway.

Given that this is simply keeping the status quo Shirley you can find an example of someone losing out on a job because the company that he applied to got his personal browsing history.

Or how about finding a story where someone lost a current job because their current employer got their personal browsing history (ie not using their work computer).

There's 3 other threads about it.

First of all, self employed so my employer already knows what kind of porn I'm looking at.

Secondly, I'm calling bullshit on your assertion until I see a link to a reputable source.

Thirdly, if you're referring to right of employers to what you're looking at on company computers then I'm all for it.

Civilize the mind, but make savage the body.
