$4.2 billion for 3.4 kilometers... good thing taxpayers are footing the bill... not bad for something that originally cost $35 million...

Wow, seems there maybe a few inefficiencies involved. A pipeline involves a lot more skilled labour & some very specialized equipment but costs a lot less per mile...

People can argue all they want, but I am for it, despite the cost. Fact stands, I wonder what the cost is for every person coming illegally and then having kids... multiple kids.... and we pay all of those costs and subsidies. From section 8 housing, food stamps, provided healthcare- or at a minimum health care subsidies, etc. The rising population of Hispanic students is growing at an alarming rate. Too fast. When you see a stock rise that fast, you sell. It won't continue forever. Point being, it is time to act and have a correction.

Mexico can foot the bill a number of ways, wether they like it or not. It doesn't have to be a direct payment. Regardless, it is worth it even if we pay the bill.

Hey, did you hear about that time a bunch of people inside a fortified structure tunneled to get out? There is no way anyone would try this when no one is watching.

So what is your REAL concern. In most studies immigrants contribute more to the system than they take back?
Or is it because you are worried about the "Browning" of America? If you answer #2.....

Hmmmm, you suppose any of them might actually work while they're here? Like, in low-paying service-sector or agricultural jobs that are hard to fill otherwise for what employers are willing to pay (or can get away with paying even less under the table)? Or those for whom payroll taxes get deducted, but are ineligible to collect SS in return ~ so they're in effect 'giving' extra $$ to the gov't?

So my math says that's $3000 per linear foot. Maybe we can make it cheaper and use chinese steel instead.
