Anyone done the Hammer Triathlon in East Tennessee? I know Endurance Sports Management puts on great events and have did Atomicman last fall which I believe is in the same general area and was curious to know if the bike and run courses are similarly hilly (i.e. very hilly) or somewhat less brutal. Thanks in advance.

That was my first triathlon last year and and doing it this year!
Bike ride is got some good climbs nothing too crazy and only an area near the half way where you get the "steepest" climb of the bike ride, on the way back it "feels" most of it is down hills!
The downhills with very little training and recovering from a hernia surgery and i was able to do that in 53 minutes so anyone with a half decent ftp could get close to 40 or even under as the down hills without much effort rode 40 mph!!!
The run course is as flat as advertised, the only "hill" is when you go to the turn around point and back and i cant imagine that being more than 20~30 feet drop!!!
Looking to go somewhere in the 1:20s for the race this year!
Speed kills unless you have speed skills!!!
