And this is a problem why? Maybe they rented out the space? Maybe the congregants have suggested such a class? Sounds like a legit community service to me.

Off topic, but I used to go to church camp at Camp Marengo when I was a kid. Do you know if it is still there in the original location?

Yep, that is just about 3 miles north of my house.
