I'd be more afraid of someone with disc brakes drafting behind me slicing my rear tire or back of my leg.

Like Ventoso, they have yet to produce any actual evidence that it was indeed a disc rotor that caused the slicing...

For the record, I don't think the rotor cut his shoe in abu dhabi, I think it was the sharp end of that crowd barrier.
But, for those that are curious, this video is far better (and a bit funnier):

At least they realized they needed to file this one under "comedy"...they still have the physics wrong...and still keep contacting the shoe on it's hard plastic toe box only :-/
Do you really think that clean of a slice could have been caused by contact with a blunt, rusty barrier leg? A barrier that he contacted with his back first? Huh...

Obviously, I was not there, so who knows ...
But, anything is possible when a body is hurtling uncontrolled through space.
Do you think it was the rotor?

Do you think it was the rotor?
Based on:
A.) The video shows Doull rotating clockwise (as observed overhead) as he fell, and just as his left side would be near Kittel, his bike suddenly stops instantly and launches Kittel OTB (indicating it's possible Doull's shoe got into the fork/disc area of Kittel's bike). Admittedly, the video is far from clear on whether this is the case, or not...
B.) The video shows Doull contacting the barriers back first (he rotated clockwise as he fell, remember?)...
C.) The "cleanliness" of the slice in the shoe, including the mark on his foot which looks suspiciously like it's identical in width to a disc rotor.
D.) The slice on the shoe is in 2 locations...if dragged across a jagged, rusty barrier foot, I'd expect to see a continuous tear.
So yeah...I think the most likely scenario was that Doull's foot got jammed into Kittel's fork/disc. It would be pretty easy to take the shoe and the bike and try to match things up...I wonder why we haven't seen that?

then we can have "if the shoe doesn't fit, you must acquit!"
