Not sure if Jameis' excuse is 100% legit. But if you're trying to lift and motivate one group(or one kid as he said), why do people feel the need to put down/be condescending to other groups.

This one leaves too many interpretations open, but seems to be running in that same trying to motivate one side while being condescending to the other. Could have just had the 1st sentence and left it at that.

No one has ever accused Jameis of being smart but in his defense I think he was trying to get the young boys fired up about being men and unintentionally said something stupid. In today's society we need more men, especially black men, being role models.
