Friends name removed from IM results
A guy from my club and a friend of his have had their results removed from the IMWA (Busselton) results. I don't know him well enough to ask why. Could this just be a mistake? Both names are appearing in the Multisports results and neither received a DQ on race day.

It could easily be a mistake.

Or were they drug tested?

In all seriousness though, I can't find TO or Dirty Harry in the 2016 Ironman Kona results.

Top 3 from 30 - 34 missing for IMWA (Busso) 2016. Were there originally. I train with a couple, but don't know them well. At least not well enough to ask whats going on.

I think something's gone funky with Ironman's database. The same thing has happened to at least one of the age groups from Kona 2016. Nothing to do with the athletes affected, I don't think. I have a call in to IM about it...

The tracker still has the M30-34 top-3 as it was after the race - http://ap.ironman.com/...australia&y=2016

I think they make it known when an age grouper tests positive for PEDs. I've read several press releases about infringing individuals over the years so the cases become rather high profile.

not until the "results management" process is complete. but i doubt this is the cause for the three to go missing from results, because they wouldn't be removed from the results until their cases end with a finding of doping.

Technical difficulties are temporary. Please stand by. IM is working on their database issue. That's all it is.

If your friend's last name is "Busso," keep an eye on him

He is subject to the Double Letter Cheater Identification Protocol, after all
