Garmin Connect and Strava Disagreeing
On my past two treadmill runs (since I started using a foot pod) the data that is showing up on Strava is different than the data on my watch or in Garmin Connect. Not a huge difference - Strava shows my run as a minute longer and 10sec/mi slower than Garmin - but it's still strange. Doesn't Strava just pull the data straight from Connect? Anyone have any insight?

I see issues with Movescount sending runs to Strava (rides transfer fine)... like 1-2 minutes per mile faster in Strava.

If I export the move file from Movescount and manually upload it to Strava, they match.

Hmmm. Strange thing is it has always worked fine before I started using the foot pod. I don't know why the foot pod would change anything.

I looked at a treadmill run I did last night, and noticed the same slight differences you noted; run was minutely shorter in strava (could be a difference of them using 1 decimal point for distance versus 2 in GC), and pace was 10 sec / km different (slower on strava).

No idea why that would be. Like you said, I would have thought it would identical, though I never thought to compare them.

Do you have Auto Pause turned on on your Garmin? I think this accounts for some of the difference, since the Garmin excludes those few seconds when you're stopping or starting, but Strava seems to add them back in. Certainly I find that on the bike Strava always has a slightly longer moving time than Garmin, and hence a slightly lower average speed. And the difference is a lot bigger on rides where I'm stopping a lot like my commute, compared to weekend rides with very few stops.

Strava also counts any 'down time' as run time. For example, a quick bathroom break during a long treadmill run is factored into the total run time for Strava.

I find a discrepancy for cycling too. It is usually the NP that is different in Strava than what is on my Garmin 520 - Strava can be a good 5-10 watts lower even if there aren't any breaks for water or the bathroom. Not sure what's up with this.
