Fun race. You can start with any wave and choose how you ride it. Especially in the early waves, the packs will rip. Just let them go and ride on your own if you don't want to be in the group. If you were to wait until a later wave, you will probably have lots of traffic as the ability level ranges from cat 1 roadies at the front to recreational riders just trying to finish the distance at the back.
