Should I circumcise my dogs?
I have two male dogs that have been neutered. However, they have some aroma coming from the urine that is left on the hair at the end of their penis.

I've been thinking about having them circumcised to eliminate the odor. Anyone else here had their dogs circumcised?

Can I suggest that you simply keep your nose further away from your dog's penis?

No comment on your problem, but a penis problem for my dog this week. We adopted a rescue dog in November, and he was supposed to be neutered. We have paperwork from a vet o the other side of Houston that says he was. We took him to our vet last week due to an ear infection, and our vet said he still had a ball. We contacted the rescue organization who swore our vet had to be wrong, so we took him back over and he and his partner both reiterated the conclusion. Took him to the rescue organizatio's preferred vet Monday and lo and behold, another ball. Poor guy has had to go through a nut job twice in the last year. Unfortunately we didn't have a small bag of peas for him to sit on.

Had some friends who had two big rottweilers and both dogs had diabetes. They had to collect urine samples every morning. I'm not sure how that would even work but I know it wouldn't be worth it.

Captain Canada and JSA will picketing outside your house for such cruelty.

I say go one step further.

Clearly your dogs identify as female. They need gender reassignment surgery.

Civilize the mind, but make savage the body.

Definitely. Remember the thread here about circumcision where a guy mentioned that women prefer the feel of the cut guys? Yeah, do it for the bitches. :)

The process isn't that difficult. Paper test kits. Follow pooch out. Keep hands clear.

I'm pretty sure that would make my dogs stand out at the dog park. I don't have any fancy designer dogs, but I would probably have the only two circumcised dogs. They would be unique eunuchs.

I would be a bit worried about the chihuahuas teasing them about it - those dogs can be heartless.

That's not it. He can smell it on the dog's breath when it licks his face.

No, when they do that they usually smell like peanut butter.
