Dang. And just last nite I was just listening (and singing along) to Weezer's Buddy Holly song.
Oo-ee-oo I look just like Buddy Holly
Oh-oh, and you're Mary Tyler Moore
I don't care what they say about us anyway
I don't care bout that
Remember - It's important to be comfortable in your own skin... because it turns out society frowns on wearing other people's

I had a serious crush on her as a kid - till she was beat out by Peggy Fleming. Bummer.

Peggy Fleming <heart thumping>. Is there a modern equivalent to her today? Someone with that classic girl next door beauty and full of grace (AFAIK)?

She was 80 years old with serious health problems. People die everyday, even those that are famous. I really don't understand the fascination with celebrity death and how it has any affect on anyone's lives but those that were close to her.
living in the Twin Cities, i see constant reminders of her show.

I was wondering when "that guy" would chime in with this type of a response. Didn't take as long as I thought. Grats. I expect a few more.

People comment on celebrity deaths every day, even those that are b or c list. I really don't understand the fascination with people who comment on people who comment on celebrity deaths and how it has any <a>ffect on anyone's lives but those that were close to people who comment on celebrity deaths.

"The great pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do."
That episode is right up there with "As God is my witness I thought turkeys could fly". Two unforgettable scenes from two funny 70s shows.
