Yeah, not great. Too fast for one thing. Plus all the improv and ridiculous long note in which you could clearly hear him regathering his air.

Not sure why people think the anthem is the best time to try to express all sorts of individuality.

My take exactly. Don't like the idea of an instrumental anthem to start with- no reason not to have someone sing it. But it was the saxophone equivalent of some diva shrieking throughout the whole performance.
