Ended up with a Mercedes GL-450.

2016--12K miles. Had everything the 2017 Suburban Premier had, but drove much nicer. Same leg room, but a bit less on the cargo. Expensive for a used car, but drove/rode way smoother.

Never been in one before. Amazing.

You fucker! I told you to get the Acadia!!!

Just ordered a skoda kodiaq 7 seater today for delivery in june

I am pretty certain that will be vw's entry in to the US with the skoda brand

Top of range 7 seater is loaded - lane assist, 360 vision, dynamic chasis control etc and rumoured to be bringing a vrs version, so a 7 seat awd that takes you to 60 under 6

Fun times

Thought you said you didn't want a minivan.

My wife has the GL550 - pretty friggin amazing vehicle and exceptional AWD capabilities. The horsepower makes it quite fun when I drive it and the third row seats are very comfortable. Shes had it for a few years and it's been pretty trouble-free and any minor issues were quickly addressed and under warrany, the service is outstanding.

The haters gonna hate - give them the mini-van wave as you pass by...

Thought you said you didn't want a minivan.

That's what I was thinking. What makes this not a mini-van? It doesn't have a sliding door?

Nothing makes it not a minivan. It's a minivan.

What makes it not a mini-van? 7500 lb towing capacity, 8.5" ground clearance, hard core 4WD system.

I think it's just that it doesn't have sliding doors.

With that departure angle, good luck finding something 8.5" tall to drive over that doesn't end up ripping off the bumper. And hardcore 4wd system? Come on... Hard core 4WD system means lockers front and rear and 2WD/4Hi/4lo.

It's a pig of soccer mom minivan that spouts a bunch of useless specs to get folks to part with $100k.
