Heading to a couple spots around mexico in a few weeks. Any suggestions on alcohol i should pick-up while im there?

I dont drink tequila much, but id pick some up to have on hand for guests.

Mezcal is really hot right now. Its not the "worm juice" we once knew it as. It has taken off in the cocktail bar world. Many to choose from. Del Maguey brand has some good ones to choose from.

Well, if you're picking it up for guests then I'd go with something local that's not readily available at home. Local Mescal would be a great choice. Ask for the local stuff. Any bartender or booze merchant would know. But make sure it's something that can be legally carried past the The Wall.
