A small town bar with a band playing? Where? We're stuck with karaoke machines and juke boxes. The small town band bars died in the mid 90's.

Well just hang in awhile longer. Sooner or later you'll get cable TV and dial up internet out there.:-)
But seriously. cougars are just big house cats. They have no relationship to the big African cats at all. They were once considered extinct in Ontario and in recent years there have been numerous sightings and one confirmed attack on a human. Its like bear attacks, rare but they will always happen once in a blue moon as we move into their territory. We should just be thankful we live in a country that still has big wildlife and should understand the need to preserve it. Still would be nice if we could convince them to stay in the national parks. :-)

Wonder how the man would have reacted if he knew it was a cougar?
We had a cougar in the area a few years ago, killed a great dane and almost got a horse.
