I got used to Palmetto Bugs (cockroaches to the rest of the world) living in Charleston. They don't freak me out nearly as much as stink bugs.
If I ever found a scorpion in my bed I'd burn the house to the ground.
We get Scorpions at certain times of the year. I have been stung on the back ( in bed) . Stepped on several barefoot at night. You do not want to put on a pair of jeans that have been on the floor over night (stung high on the thigh). Good thing the sting is like a wasp. Hurts like crap, fades quickly and doesn't usually swell to much.
