Excellent article.
The point that stands out to me is how profoundly undemocratic Jeb Bush's strategy was. It wasn't based on building the support of voters or running a campaign based on ideas and principles or even plain competency. It wasn't even based on buying the election with a lot of advertising dollars. It was just based on the idea that he could just tie up all the money and deny anyone else a chance to compete.

Pathetic, yes, but as the article notes, it's a strategy that's worked in the past and will probably work again. That's how we get political "dynasties." It's not like Hillary or W or Mitt or eventually Chelsea got achieved their political success on their own merits.
