As a point of clarification. The first year was an anomaly and there have been some headwinds in the first 20 odd km every year, but then you get the tail wind. Last year I think the net on the course was in favour of the tailwind and the times were fast. Race day is race day and no matter where you are, you can always get weather.

Speak for yourself. I signed up close to the first day.

Mark,

Of course you did!

I think they have Bib #1 set aside for you! :)

I would hope not. The connotation of having a #1 on my bib would be too much for me.

Yeah, that did suck. The headwind was brutal, and for people that didn't take it into consideration with their pacing (i.e. *me*) it made for a rough run. Still, such a fantastic event.

The reviews of this race by athletes have been phenomenal with many of athletes telling us the race is as good as the WTC branded events, from a production, atmosphere and customer service perspective.

This is the only thing I disagree with. IMHO, from an atmosphere perspective, Barrelman was better. :)

Yes - there is a lot of pressure and expectation that comes with that! I am sure you can handle it! :)
