Fruit snacks are for winners

We are changing the swim, so that athletes will not have to swim into the sun. Might be some minor changes to the bike course, but basically the same - 56 mile loop with the start at the park and the finish at the University. Run course will stay the same.

The sun was ok. This was a really nice race. Looking forward to it again. I really like the date change since it is 12 weeks before my full.

The July date for IM 70.3 Ohio makes it a perfect tune-up race for IM Chattanooga, IM Maryland or IM Louisville. See you in Delaware! Z

Given the close proximity in dates, it is interesting that you didn't put IM NC on this list. Should we read anything into that?

We are thinking about this event as our first 70.3--so a little unsure about how quickly this would fill up. Did it sell out last year and how quickly did that happen?

It sold out in 2 wks. I did it and it was a great race.
It was non wetsuit last year, flat bike, a little hilly run

When I checked the Ironman site last night it said IM 70.3 Ohio was "Opening Soon". I just went on the site and it says that the only registration option available for IM 70.3 Ohio is "Register via Charity". Is it possible that the race sold out this morning?

When I check the IM site it says: "2017 IRONMAN 70.3 Ohio registration is tentatively scheduled to launch on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 12PM (ET)."

I almost freaked out. It says it is tentatively scheduled to open on Nov. 2nd. I don't think it is open yet. perhaps charity entries can preregister.

I hope that the other poster is right and that registration opens on Nov. 2.

just that myself as i was considering heading out to that one. but with charity only entries, it looks like its already opened and sold out. not surprised as i heard a lot of great reviews of the race and being somewhat familiar with the area, its very nice there.

General entry has not opened up as of yet. Supposed to open up tomorrow (Nov.2). Not sure why IM put the charity slots up 1st.
