I recently ordered and finally received Stryd's new footpod-based running power meter. I've gone for a handful of runs with it and it seems to be a product unready for public release.
The cliffnote version of my experience, using it with my Garmin 735xt and a 920xt, the data I've received has been useless. The connection between the pod and my watches drops often. The Connect IQ App for the watches tends to corrupt or mix data channels so that using the exercise files with several software services (Training Peaks, Strava, WKO4, Sport Tracks, Garmin Connect) produces training data that becomes useless.
It just seems like it was rushed to production and release before all the bugs were worked out. It does look like the company is working hard and doings its best to fix the issues, but it begs the question if the device was ready for primetime.
To anyone that has one, what's your experiences with it?
Thanks
