REAL leaders, admit when they are wrong and take responsibility. They right the ship, learn from their mistakes and move forward.
Well then I can't think of a single political leader from the federal level to the local level in the past, well, at least 2-3 decades. I don't disagree with you, I'm just saying that this is par for the course in American politics.
The only time you will hear "I made a mistake" from an American politician is when they get caught doing something that they can go to rehab or therapy over and then they can "Blame it on the disease" and come off as a hero for admitting their short comings and seeking help. Other then that, they are never wrong and it's always someone elses fault. Only at such time that people are no longer in positions of power, often times for years, will they admit any mistakes. This applies to pretty much anyone in government at high levels as well.
