ND football is one of the premiere brands in sports. NBC is more than happy to have them. ND is having a down year, it happens.

Yes, I'm sure. My thread title was mostly sarcastic. But I'm sure there must be some angst at NBC when the domers suck. Ratings must take a hit when they become irrelevant in the national championship race this early in the year. And ratings are everything in the big money world of college football. I know that many of the domer homers will still tune in, and that's why NBC sticks with them. The casual fans and even some of the homers will be much less interested.

Agreed. To be out of the National Championship hunt even before September is over is unexpected.

Notre Dame losing is always a highlight of any college football Saturday. I wouldn't mind Oregon so much if they didn't wear a different, always ugly uniform for practically every game. Tasteless. But would one really expect anything else from Nike?
