Yep, that is 4 cars for 2 people, wife thinks I have a problem, I think my 3 car garage isn't big enough.

We currently have 7 for 2 drivers (5 insured and operable). I think you're being perfectly reasonable.

That is one benefit to being my own insurance guy, I try to only insure 2 at a time, doesn't always work.

-1988 BMW 325iC
-1985 BMW 318i

In order of ownership...

1966 Ford Station Wagon Postal Delivery (I was 12, bought it at auction for $225, fixed it up and sold it for $600)
1969 Mustang Boss 429 (first car when old enough to drive. Whenever I say that, it's always followed by "You shoulda kept that car!" Well, no shit, but didn't.)
1972 Gran Torino (because the new wife didn't like the muscle car. Now you know...)
1976 Fiat 850
1978 Fiat 850 (matched set)
1980 Chevy Cavalier Wagon (had 1 kid by then)
1984 Ford Club Wagon Van (had 2 kids by then)
1996 Ford Club Wagon Van (had 3 kids by then)
1998 Chrysler (what a boat, bought this POS from my father-in-law)
2004 Ford Crown Victoria Police (that thing would go 140mph in a heartbeat)
1986 Ford Bronco II (still driving it. It's in the parking lot right now)
1998 Ford F150 (for use at the farm)
2006 Chevy Silverado (for use at the farm. Still driving this one, too)

Maybe another dozen cars when the kids were growing up, 4 tractors (still have 3), 2 motorhomes (still have one)

And I'm not a car guy....out of the whole bunch, the most reliable and consistent and cheap set of wheels is the 1986 Bronco II. What a great little vehicle.
