Meaningless iPhone usage data
I say meaningless because most of you wont care about this. But i'm relatively interested in this sort of thing.

My friend and I were comparin data earlier. Today, the app that has consumed the most energy from my phone has been snapchat, consuming 58 percent of the power I've used in the last 24 hours.
It's also the most energy consuming for the week, having consumed 42 percent of the power I've used this week.

Now what I find even more interesting is the second place finishers. For today, it's Instagram, consuming 16 percent of today's power, and for the week, it's safari at 17 percent. So I use snapchat a lot, and then a lot of less draining apps more infrequently.

Also Pandora is less than 1 percent today and I've used it for several hours.

Anyone interested should post their number 1 for today and this week.

I don't have Snapchat. Or Pandora (whatever that is).

How does Danny Hart sit down with balls that big?

i don't think strava counts when you're driving your car. or boat. i thought all you did was fish. do you even own a bike?

I got off my fat ass and went for a "run" this morning. 3 whole kms.

Only running I do is warmup before weights, usually 10 minutes or so. Zero kms though, since its on a treadmill.

So far then internet browsing is winning (Google/safari). Cool. I expect that's what mine would like like, unless I posted a picture on Instagram or something.

I guess it's not completely meaningless. If it wasn't a crucial (neccasary) part of your life, and one app was always at the top, you could try to use that app less. As in, every time you go to use that app you could go do something you've been putting off.

Actually, this isn't the metric you'd want to use. Because this one is based on how much of your battery it uses, you could use one app more frequently or for longer but it might be lower on this list. I'll go look for one based on time.

I suspect a big part of the reason Google is at the top for me is that my work email is Google-based, so I'm on it a lot.

Yeah, this doesn't surprise me. I know a lot of people use their phones for work, so I expected that.

Aaaand today is gonna be the same I reckon.

I'm predicting that at 10:00pm, my top 3 for the day will be Snapchat, Instagram, Safari.

A few minutes early, but I nailed this. Even in the right order.
